And you'll soon be on the other side.
And think of all the educating you can do among other patients..and nurses!

You could hand out Bonesmart business cards as you walk the corridors !

Jo

Here's hoping you a soonest surgery date and a swift recovery. You rock, Jo, and I am sure you will do great!

Suki

Ok Jo! Now be sure and keep BJ and I informed so we can give you tips along the way! :rotfl:

When i read about you needing a new knee, I wondered if I would be so pleased about a new hip. I can say I am very happy with my new knee. Please keep the dust bunnies safe. I protect them everytime someone comes to clean:loll:. I hope that you get a date soon so you can get on the recover side. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

I'd been thinking of you earlier today, and your post that it seemed time to think about a new knee. I'm sorry it's needed and like everyone else, I wish you all the best.

Thank you both. Oddly enough, my knee suddenly got better and has been A-OK since then. But I am going ahead with the appointment (which I haven't yet got!) as this was the identical pattern with the right knee. I'll see if he will just do an arthroscopic washout instead.

It's always the same......when you make an appointment for a doctor you start to feel better.
And for the dentist, toothache gets better

Murphy's law, the pain always disappears before the appointment!! :) Too late, now that you posted it, we'll make you see the Doctor!! :snork: Good luck!

I won't need any blackmail! This morning as I walked into the bathroom, that old "sharp stone in the shoe" syndrome came back again! Just like it did with the other knee. Same with the shoulders (I'm soon to have surgery on both shoulders as well) - they've been remarkably asymptomatic of late until I decided to strip out the conservatory this morning and give it a spring clean! Oh the pain, the pain!!!

And you're always telling everyone that housework doesn't HAVE to be done---it'll wait for you!

mmmmmI do i remember you saying that I could wait and unpack my boxes after I was further in recover? :heehee: Do take care and please don't hurt yourself. :puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

Be fair - I haven't touched that room for over a year, probably two! And I was not in a speck of pain. It's not like I was post-op or anything. And I was referring to the pain in my shoulders, not the knee.

I also found out why I am still waiting for the shoulder surgery - himself has been on holiday since late June and isn't due back until the end of this month! And since I've just pencilled in my very first, free lance job first week in October, looks like it's going to be a few weeks before I get anything done. Per!

I'm sorry you have to wait that long. Do take care:puppysmooze:Tashia:bicycle1:

Josephine, just curious as I do have shoulder pains and aches. How are your shoulder pains like and what surgery would you be doing for the shoulders?

"Impingement syndrome is the compromise of the bursa and rotator cuff in the subacromial space of the shoulder, causing pain with overhead or rotational movements like throwing or swimming. This syndrome is seen in people who do repetitive overhead activities for work or play. It is initially treated with rotator cuff strengthening exercises, anti-inflammatory medicine, and injections. If non-surgical treatment doesn’t work, then acromioplasty (see below) can be done to open up the subacromial space and relieve pressure on the soft tissues."
