THR Losing sleep over my husbands surgery

Looks like your hubby's a young guy who listens to his body. I'm guessing that at 66 I'm a lot older than him but I was walking unaided within days of my hip resurfacings and was back in the gym within a couple of weeks. We're all different when it comes to healing. With your support I'm sure he'll do great.

best wishes to both of you

Hello @Deneen86 Since I was called out earlier in your thread, I thought I would stop by and say Hi. Oh yeah, I can skate backwards:heehee: I was a skier/runner but I played pond hockey.

Hopefully your hubby hasn't stuck his fingers in his ears and said la-la-la I can't hear you.

If someone has been an athlete and they are used to training, a joint replacement is something else to overcome, just like getting in shape for whatever sports season or an event such as a big race.
People like us will always be in the ODIC club. My OS looked me in the eye just before release, and said "Your hip is structurally sound. " Then he said not to do anything to pop it out of joint. I didn't.

My wife is still concerned about the stuff I do. But if it doesnt hurt and my hip is structurally sound, I am not the type to sit around and wait. There was nothing wrong with my other parts. I am not good at being still.

I'm not saying it is wrong to be concerned. I am wishing you luck. We won't tell if you snag one of his pills.

Thanks again everyone....well he has not ended up in the ODIC yet. He did sleep ALOT this weekend but so far that is all. He's going great, still. Walking a bit without his cane and tramadol for a few days now. I'm far more relaxed. I wish you all the best!

Glad for him,,,and you! Hope all continues to go well.

Great news! He's doing well, you're more relaxed.
Hopefully hubby gets lots of rest again this weekend.
Best wishes to you both @Deneen86
