@LeftBrain @Thru and Thru best wishes to you both on your surgery tomorrow. That is so cool you both are in the same hospital surgery just hours apart.

@LeftBrain I drove about two weeks after my surgery on my right hip. I had a lateral approach. My muscles were not too deteriorated, although I was in pretty intense pain. I pushed myself before surgery to maintain mobility. Everyone is different, I realize I am very fortunate to be able to drive so early, there was no pain at all when moving my foot between the gas and brake pedal. I was also off the narcotic pain reliever. I started by going on some side streets and for a short distance. I built up over a three week period to be able to drive for the 30 min. drive to work. Good luck with your surgery, I go back to work tomorrow.

I made it to the other Side!!! My brain is still quite foggy from the anesthesia bit nonetheless the therapist hade out of bed for my first walk a short while ago, I amazed myself!!! I didn't bring my laptop so I'm posting on my phone. I will post more details later when I. Scan think a little clearer.

Yes, my surgery was completed successfully yesterday, but about 4 hours late. Something about this reminds me of flying though O'Hare: could be significantly delays, just gotta roll with it

Spent some time walking around the room; turned a few corners, etc. No pain. So far so good. Looking to see what Tuesday has in store!
