TKR Knees 1 AND 2 up and running

Oh, knee twin, you don't need those night time pains. I've been having to adjust pillows more with October knee and finding June knee sometimes needs something different. Home PT showed me another way to stack pillows besides the 3 pillows stacked lengthwise. Try stacking 2 pillows crosswise (to your body), then one angled lengthwise on top of the 2 pillows. Tuck the end of the lengthwise pillow way under your thigh. Frequently I don't put June knee on the lengthwise pillow, only on the crosswise. I hope I explained this well enough. I haven't had the sciatic pain with this arrangement either. Hope you feel better.

Thank you-- I am trying the new pillow stack method right know. My newest TKR hip is feeling relief already.

We need this forum to aid in our recoveries. Josephine has helped me in many ways. We just have to stay on topic better. And by the way, my left knee is feeling some better than this morning. The Tylenol and Tramadol helped a lot. I'm icing my Brat right now. Soon I have dig up those irises, though!

Thank you for checking, @Celle. I'm 3 weeks tomorrow, doing very well. Resting, icing, elevating, medicating and doing gentle exercises. Knee 1 is at 120, 0; knee 2 is 110, 0. I'm driving now since I'm off narcotics and right knee feels great. Still using cane, still taking one stair at a time, up with the good;down with the bad. Next goal -- sleep on my side! :)

It is good to hear from you, Shelia. It sounds like you are doing fantastic. I am so glad!

Your ROM is fantastic. It's great that you are able to drive and feel some freedom.

It's great to hear that you're driving again. You've got back some freedom. :yes!:  :happydance:
Your ROM is excellent. Keep on taking it steady, as you are. Your knees must be liking what you are doing.

Driving! Yay! Even if you only go to a drive through its so wonderful to have that independence!

Hi there, "driving-lady". How are you enjoying your new freedom? I hope that both knees are behaving.
Don't forget that they're still babies, so be gentle with them.

I couldn't find you earlier for some reason. Can't believe you're able to drive. How wonderful.

You're doing so great! Congrats! Praying both knees continue to do well! :yes!:

It was good to see you posting to Martha, @sheliac .
I hope you're still doing well.

I was wondering if you're managing stairs more confidently, now that you're more mobile?

@Celle,
I have never taken the opportunity to thank you for your help and encouragement here. You have been a source of crucial information, but more importantly to me, the voice of calm and gentle reasoning in this storm of a life journey. I will never forget you and what you have done for me. Although we've never met, you've touched my life in incredible ways.

Thank you.
Shelia

Thank you, Shelia. I'm pleased that I was able to help.
I'm sorry if you feel it's time to move on; I'll miss you. But I wish you all the best and I'll be thinking of you, often.
