Well it's not his sciatic nerve being poked by a screw, so it may be no big deal to him, but obviously it's affecting you.
I'm sorry. Please don't despair. I'm not understanding what this surgeon feels will change over the course of six weeks when you'll be one year post op. Or is he meaning one year post op from the psoas release? I've lost track of how many surgeon's you've consulted with. Please update us as to which surgeon performed which procedure? I'm not asking for names, just Surgeon [HASH=58]#1,[/HASH] Surgeon #2 etc.
Given the pain you describe and your dissatisfaction with this surgeon's assessment and timeline, ease those feelings of despair through moving forward in search of another opinion. I don't see that you have any other choice...

I agree. Time for another opinion. I would think you may be allowed two, possibly three if the first two disagree. Call insurance and check.
. Happy you were able to put your best foot forward and make all those calls, despite your pain. I hope you find the right path to take next.

I have taken my pain medicine with no relief and have also been alternating heat and ice as well as elevating my legs , any suggestions at this point would be beyond appreciated
