I cannot even imagine what pain you are experiencing, my teeth actually hurt as I read your description. I hope that your surgeon finds a solution to your pain.

Thank goodness for Sonja, she is really a help here.

One suggestion, I had a visit shortly after my surgery and was having pain sitting in the waiting room. I told them at the desk, as well as they could see my pained face, and they took me directly back to a room where I could lie on the table. Perhaps you can call ahead and let them know your expectation is to be given a room as soon as you get there rather than sit in the waiting area.

Horrible night last night and pretty much the same kind of day I am in so much pain and I've had to take more meds than usual and now feel sick! I cannot win!

Have you printed out the article on the knee? With it originating in the UK, I thought Mr. Porter might be more likely to listen! That knee is the greatest! When people think of hinged knees, they think limited mobility. This one has changed all the rules, and it is actually made stronger than my S and N left knee replacement. I wish I could express the difference it has made in my life, but I guess this will have to do. "Oh what a feeling, I'm dancing on the ceiling". I can't remember who sang that but I think it was Lionel Richie!

Quick question not sure if anyone will know the answer but do different brands of the same medication make you feel different?
For last few weeks Ive been on a brand of fentanyl patches in 2 25mg and Ive been ok with the full 3 days and not felt withdrawl at day 2 but this week Ive been on a 50mg patch in a totally different brand and I have withdrawl at about 60 hours after putting patch in and I feel fatigued and nauseous.

Different brands have different inert ingredient that may change how you react, ask Mr. Porter tomorrow.

Ah right that makes sense I'm just wondering if my body is absorbing them differently Ive just changed back to the original ones so we will see.

Fentynal patches knocked me out! The doc at rehab wanted to "supplement" my pain meds so I wouldn't feel anything, so he ordered a 75 mg patch! As Mom tells it, when she got there, she rippled it off, and told them I am not used to strong pain meds! I slept for 18 hours! He came in the next day (while Mom was gone) and put on a 35 mg patch. Lights out again! Mom was livid! I was glad to get some rest! No PT or OT cause they could not wake me!

Do you think maybe you should use your walker until your fall risk has lessened? Even a wheel chair if necessary?

Hi Natalie im pretty new to this site but have spent the last few days catching up on your story. Quite frankly you are a saint for not swearing very loudly to some of the doctors, doctors assistants whatever you have dealt with. You have been let down and messed about so many times and all the time being in chronic pain. I admire you so much to be going thru all this at such a young age. IIm also in the step family situation and know how stressful that can be for us mums. Being pulled in every direction. I wish you lots and lots of luck for today and hope that at last you will see some results instead of being fobbed off once again. To someone who has a TKR and thought i was in pain you have put me to shame. Sending you hugs and and im so glad you have your husband there for support at all times. will catch up later to see how you got on.
