We have members with metal allergies who have gone on to have a revision with nickel free implants, they have done very well.
I had a revision for flexion instability, the recovery was about the same as it was for the primary TKR.
Every recovery is different even on the same person.
Start with ruling out your back pain as the cause for your knee pain, you have already ruled out your hip with your THR.
Then suggest you search for a revision surgeon out of your area that has no relationship with your present present surgeon. You may want to start your search at HSS in NYC.
