I am hope that working part time will help make the time go faster for you!. As you said the knee is looking good so it won't be long and you will have you life back!

The pain level is nothing compared to the tkr walking is done with either a walker or crutches not supposed to put any weight on the knee. movement of the joint is kinda rough lots of grinding from the cement spacer. I am hoping to be able to get back to work part time in a couple of weeks. I could not do this without your support and of my wonderful wife Sandy she is taking very good care of me. Today I'm just going to relax and watch football playoffs!

I was referred to this board (privately) from another (useless board) and specifically to mike. Though I am sorry to hear a brother is going this route, he is at least my point man on the journey. They are removing my TKA this week, probably monday. Very rush rush, not lots of informaton. I have been through TKA 11/4, infection signs oral antibiotics, inpatient without my orthopedic surgeon who was on holiday for 3 weeks, but i got my internist and he had an infections disease guy oversee the PICC line and 6 weeks of vancomycin. I want to ride my bike (not a harley) but I crave some freedom! I have seizures since the TKA surgery and can't' drive for 6 months. Drugs for the seizures, but honey I am living large and planning trips like crazy. If they finally get the knee right I am OUT of here!

Hi there - Leftoutknitter? That's an odd one! Anyway, welcome to BoneSmart! We can at least cheer you on from the sidelines. That situation is a really tough road to travel. Hope it all goes really well for you.

Welcome Leftoutknitter. I'm glad your friend recommended BoneSmart for you. We have had a few folks here who have been through a revision as a result of infection. It does sound like you and Mike have a lot in common. You have the whole BoneSmart family available now for support!
