Hope all is well with you across across the different time zones. Whether you are just before or just after the op I wish you lots of peace x

Hello ALL, thanks to the prayers of all my near and dear ones, and of manyof you, the surgery proper started around 4 PM Monday. It ended at about 7 PM. By the graces of the Good Lord Jesus, I DID get spinal anesthesia. Monday-Tuesday night was horrendous: excruciating pain, tossing and turning etc. They changed the narcotic medicine from Oxycodone to Dilaudid...went to sleep at 5.30 AM...woke up at 8 AM...better now...left the post anesthesia care unit at 4 PM Tuesday for Single room (Praise THE Lord!)...the pain level, out of 10, is now 3 or 4...sitting in.tall chair at surgery hospital...Monday night it was 11 out of 10!..

Please pray that the pain continue to be reduced and that I get a single-seater or double-spaced room at the Rehab Healthcare Center on Friday (tomorrow).

A 'tome' about my health situation, right?

Blessings for all of you ALWAYS!

All the best & prayers for all of you ALWAYS!

Welcome to the other side (again). Glad you are managing to get that pain management cocktail tweeked. It's sometimes the greatest challenge. Good luck with the rehab!

Was shifted to Marlborough Hills Healthcare Rehabilitation Center around 4.00 PM today...in bed and trying to relax..fever about 101...last night sleepless. ..fever 102 then...

All the best & God bless all ALWAYS!

I am finally catching up w you, April 27 buddy! I am so sorry to hear of your tough times. Even if you aren't posting I hope you find my well wishes coming to you. The post-op journey is windy for sure. I had a raised temp one nite & the team went into action. I had an asthma attack w low oxygen from the flowers in the hospital room (!) and the team handled it quickly. Then I saw how well my rehab staff managed their patients and I am sure you are getting the best of care. You & they are in my prayers now.

Thank you very much, @wcgirl for your kind words. I am very glad that your *issues* were attended to with the utmost alacrity. I hope and pray that you are progressing at a very satisfactory pace.

I am at the Rehab center and having Physical and occupational therapy every day. It is well-nigh impossible to predict when I shall be able to *get out* of here: I am praying that it be much sooner than the 33 days that I had to *spend* here for the RTHR last year!

All the best & God bless all ALWAYS!

I want to thank EVERYONE at Bone-Smart for all that they do, go through...and send precious feedback and sagacious advice.

All the best for ALL in pre-op, in surgery and post-surgery!

God bless ALL ALWAYS!

Hi, IMs....glad you are comfortable now after that difficult start to your recovery. Is there some reason why your stay in a rehab center would be so long? Usually it's anywhere from 4-5 days to 2 weeks. I hope you are able to get home in a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you very much @Jamie ...God willing, I should be able to go back home sooner than the 33 days after the RTHR last year. I am walking double the distance I was able to walk at this stage of the Rehabilitation for the right hip. The therapists are satisfied and I look forward to normal (or nearly normal) IN readings (I am taking 6 mg. of Coumadin every evening...)

The incision is well steri-stripped, except for a minuscule area that has very minor drainage. Incision area 'inspected' daily and the one area is attended to/dressed as required.

Many thanks to ALL of you ALWAYS! My prayers go up for all the Bone-Smarties...

Warmest regards and God bless ALL ALWAYS!

Hoping you have a speedy recovery and return to your "real life" in record breaking time. It sounds like it's going a lot better than last time for you, so I'm sure you'll be home in no time

Thank you so very much, @craftdee for your kind thoughts and wishes; highly appreciated! I DO feel much better than the last time around. The only issue seems to be the INR readings but I am sure the Good Lord will provide the best solution.

Raring to go with the walking and the exercises etc.

Warmest regards and God bless ALL ALWAYS!

Sounds like you are well on your way to going home soon. Well done!

Are you home? Home things are looking up. I've been home since Tuesday and what a difference it makes. I have to say that I was a little nervous leaving rehab hoping that I had everything ready and in place and that I could navigate around. Of course I could! Sending you healing wishes

Sorry for the late reply, @wcgirl ...I am hopeful that i would be leaving for home next week...am doing well...INR is better now and PT/OT are giving the thumbs-up.

I am very happy for you that you have been back home for a few days now.

Sorry, again, for my tardiness...thanks a million for your kind words and good wishes.

My warmest regards and sincerest prayers for ALL Bone-Smarties...all the best and God bless ALL of you ALWAYS!

@IMs
