Morning! Day 1 postop is here. Restless night but got some Ambian to help me sleep for a few hours. Only pain is an ache behind the knee on the left side. Today I have instructed them. To give meds on schedule since I wqill be more active.

Last night I sat with my legs on the floor for about an hour. Felt WONDERFUL!!

Was up by 530, IV fluids out, drain out! Had oatmeal and toast for bkfst! YUM! They removed my leg covering and I have 28 staples. I'll attempt to attach a picture- but am doing all this writing from my phone! I am not too swelled and it looks good. I got up and walked 200 yards!!! Have PT this afternoon. I feel pretty good!

Sounds like we're progressing at about the same rate. I went for a walk down the hall today. PT was impressed with my speed, truth is I just wanted to get back to the recliner! I tried sitting with my feet on the floor but there too much pressure.

Hi Holly! Congratulations on your new knee! So many knee surgeries just now! I hope it continues to go well. I'm having BTKR on Monday. We'll all be recovering together!

Hello! JuSt thought I would say hello and update everyone. Came home yesterday, took a shower and slept in my own bed! Feels so good to be home with my family. Am unbelieveably tired!!! Think I did too much yesterday and rhis morning. My leg is HUGE!!! Very sore. Still only taking 1 Vicodin every 4 hours.

One thing we have to do that I wasn't expecting-is that my husband has to give me blood thinner shots each day morning and night. In my stomach! Ick! Have to do it for 6 days.

Hope everyone else is doing well. My computer isn't working, so I am using my phone! Take care everyone!
