THR Finished one week

I passed on any shot as my OS said just call when you're ready and we'll get you in. It wasn't too long after that I made my mind up to have the second THR. After all I wasn't getting any younger and putting it off wasn't going to make recovery any easier so I went for it and I hope I'm done.

Yes and since it has been a year, I hope and think you are done. I have several friends who have had success with the shot so I am going that route for right now. I will probably be doing the other side at some point also but I am grateful for the options.

We'd love to hear how the procedure went....and how you feel it helps. There can be many reasons for not having THR at a particular time....IS nice to know there are options.

Good luck ... with the injection procedure... keep us in the loop how your doing. Your new hip will give you many years of improved quality of life. My first hip is over 23 years old and still going.... always enjoy hearing how well many new hippies are doing.

@Michael1000 .... I wish you luck with the injections. No one can say for sure whether they will help or not to delay replacement of a deteriorating hip. Much of the success depends on where your hip is in terms of damage. They are usually more likely to have some success if there is minimal loss of cartilage. Do you have an x-ray you could post so we could see what your hip looks like? That might help others understand your particular situation.

Mojo is right....it's very helpful to have your feedback on the injection results, so I look forward to reading how things went.
