ERG is a rowing machine. If done with correct form it is great exercise and knee friendly.

My friend, trust me - no matter what you do or how much you do it, that knee will outlast you.

Of all the things I was bitten by a dog on the hand this morning. Required 20 stitches.. Will be on antibiotics for 2 weeks..Anything else I should be doing..

Mostly, I would just keep watch, both for your hand and your knee. I seriously doubt that there is a huge risk to your knee---wow what a silly thing to have happened!!! Is there a good story behind this one? I am sorry that you have to go through the worry and the pain of the dog bite---20 stitches---the dog really savaged your hand, how scary.

Definitely you need antibiotics as dog's mouths are very dirty.
However, there is no problem in regard to your knee so don't worry about that.

Thanks for the feedback. I need the reassurance. No good story. Arm hanging over the fence as I talked to the neighbor. His dog for some reason jumped up and latched onto my hand

Sorry this happened to your hand, hope you heal quickly.

Ouch---that is a terrible story. Your poor neighbor, I bet she is sweating bullets that you will sue her!!

I 1/2 years since my surgery. Still not happy with the degree of bend so I tried kneeling then sitting on my feet. In the process I heard a loud crack? Pop? With a sharp pain that went right away
So now the knee is stiff and slightly swollen on the outside. Opinions anyone. I'm icing.
Could it have been scar tissue breaking up ?

When did this happen? Have you tagged Josephine or one of the advisors about this?

Yes it hurt but only momentarily. Happened last night. Tagged Josephine. No not sure how to go that

Whatever it was, don't try it again until the stiffness and swelling is gone!

OUCH! But keep us posted on how this works out for you, as I'm a DIY fan and I have been tempted. So... did you succeed in sitting on your feet??

What is your current ROM? Is there some functionality that you're trying to achieve or is it a number that you think you should have at 1 1/2 years out?

It is a lot more difficult to control movement when leaning back on your heels from a kneeling position. I don't recommend you do that for just the reason that you've experienced. A better way to stretch is to place the foot on your operated leg up on a step (one or two steps up) and then lean forward into it. You have a lot more control this way and less of a risk of hurting yourself.

Guess I didn't do any damage. Soft tissue maybe but swelling is down. I will continue to ice and stick to conventional ROM exercises. I never could sit on my knees and will never try that again
