Deteriorating, 37 days to go, just hanging on

@Cindy99, tomorrow is the is day. All the worry and pain will end! You can do this.

Just a little side note, just because someone has family does not mean they are always there to help. My beautiful loving daughters are thousands of miles away and I have a sick husband. I have pretty much handled my hip journey on my own.

You have all of us here to support you! I know you can do this. Hugs for tomorrow.

Have you started your recovery thread?

@webbie73 I know. I think what compounds things for me is not knowing why I'm doing any of this -- no motivation other than to get rid of pain. Other than dog nothing. Must re-invent myself once I figure out my new normal.

Sorry, I'm just in the middle of a rapid descent into blackness. Haven't been this way in a while. No inner resources left.

@craftdee Thanks for words and understanding.

Now I'm hyper-ventilating. Need to stop. How?

Deep breath and slow down. You will get through this. And by the way - you are not alone. There is a whole international family of members here who understand your anxiety and are here for you.

I really didn't have anyone helping me through my THRs - especially the last one. I just came here and shared and ranted. We do understand!

Not long now @Cindy99 I have to go to bed now... it's gone 1am here in Western Australia... and I need my beauty sleep :heehee:

Just thought I'd pop on and wish you all the very best for the next step in your journey - the first step on your re-invention... which is incidentally so much easier to contemplate when you're not in debilitating pain day in day out; the clouds lift and a little light sifts in and once you see the view you want to grab some more of it... before you know it you're livin' life like you haven't in a long time. Now, breathe.... in, out, iiiinnn, ooouuuttt, one breath at a time, you'll be "there" before you know it :)

Post as soon as you can post op... we worry about you :loveshwr:

Hi @Cindy99 , just want to wish you good luck. You can do this. We all can do this. I had my op last Monday and woke up painfree. Good luck.
Constanze

@craftdee @Constanze Thanks, both, for well wishes. Just got home after dropping dog off and last bit of shopping. SO glad no more driving -- I really shouldn't have been but had to.

I know that pain of any sort clouds visions of what can be, and I've been in pain for a long time as have many of you.

We'll see what the new Cindy looks and feels like...

Thanks again.

All the best for tomorrow, @Cindy99 ...praying that God bless and watch over you! My surgery (right hip) is tomorrow, too, in Boston...

@IMs

Good luck to you, too, @IMs ! We're having the same surgery so let's compare notes.

I haven't given a thought to anesthesia. Should I? No one brought it up and my surgery is tomorrow morning.

@Cindy99 and IMs, good luck to both of you tomorrow!! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!! God love you both ❤️❤️

to you posting on the other side.
