I just don't get why I can do all this stuff, but the upper tendons are still whacked, so to speak.

???[/QUOTE]
Mine are, too. I watched the animated video on hipandpelvis.com (my surgeon's website.) It makes sense. They spread those tendons with an instrument when they do the anterior technique. I get a lot of relief from icing the hip flexors. I also have to do the butt blaster machine and the one that works the backs of your thighs with no weight. I tried them on the lowest setting and it made my hip flexors burn for a week afterward. I don't like that feeling. I don't want bursitis or tendonitis, so I'm very cautious. I feel like I could do a lot more, but I get a delayed reaction.

Hi all..@dashinghippie I don't get alerts either, so too keep forgetting to check in. I too donated it's a brilliant site.

I am about 8 months along now. Still have right thigh pain in what was my better leg. My bad leg has had very little pain. Only just started physio so wasn't caused by over doing it! I have bursitis and a burning pain down the front and side of my thigh. Had 2 steroid injections both only lasted about 10 days. So no point having more.

The burning was diagnosed today, at last, as lateral femoral cutaneous nerve pain . They think the nerve is stuck to 'scar' tissue. Or more likely damaged during op I think. As when the epidural wore off the day of the op. The pain in my thigh was horrendous, like a hot poker burning and stinging from the knee up the the incision.
Treatment at the moment is nothing. .go back in 5 months . Will see what happens in that time.

Have they told you what is causing your problems? And what you can do about it?

We have a holiday booked but not to Barbados. ..we are hiring a VW Camper van and driving round Ireland. ..hopefully minus any breakdowns or rain!!

I need to check everyone out now too x x
