Foot Bunion surgery and more

Thank you for all your excellent bunion surgery info. I have genetic bunions on both big toes. I'm probably getting them fixed (fusion) sometime. I'm in a no surgery period now ( you can see my knee, shoulder, and foot threads here) especially after my 2021 foot tendon repair and the long recovery. I need a break. Please give an update.

marieltha, glad my info has been useful. You wanted an update? I am fine apart from nerve pain in several toes at night. Unfortunately this is a side effect of the surgery and little can be done about it so I must put up with the discomfort. I can wear closed in shoes now but of course no heels after the fusion. This does not matter to me as I have never worn heels and prefer comfortable leather sneakers.
