Hi Hornplayer! Good luck today. Beginning from the time you wake up in the recovery room, the first week after surgery can feel like a bit of a blur. But, it gets better day by day. Make sure your extra good to yourself, patient, liberal with treats you like to eat and praising yourself for overcoming barriers as they arise is such a good idea right now. Your hubby sounds like he cares for you, but surgery can be tough on partnerships ... I've had some first-hand experience with this.... For my second major joint replacement, BTKR, I chose to rally my friends and family as close to me as I could to meet the needs my partner could not. Wishing you well
