Looking forward to following along @guillimac . Good to keep busy. I was going to work the last few days but I decided to finish a few days before. I would prefer to be at home so I can tidy up and try and relax.

Not long now! See you on the other side!!

Stopping by to see if you are all ready to go @gullimac and I see that you are. I'm excited to follow your recovery thread. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good you will feel. You may even welcome that Atlanta traffic when they tell you you can go home. Always remember Ice is Nice. Enjoy relaxing and being catered to for a while. :elevate: You probably won't get much sleep tonight because of anticipation but by tomorrow night you will be on the healing side of things. It doesn't get much better than that. Ciao --julie

@gullimac
Just caught up on your thread. Sounds like you really had a nice wkend with your family--quality time. Your wife sounds like a fun Mom rolling down the hill a few times. :heehee: Just think, though, you will be on the other side tomorrow at this time. It won't be like now and your life will change for the better.

Hope you had a good day today at work.
Will be praying for you tomorrow. :SUNsmile:

We will soon be looking back at our surgeries and looking forward to a pain free hip. Things will fly by tomorrow, so just go with the flow. Have a delicious treat tonight...I'm going to have an ice cream sunday! Yummy! How are you feeling? I'm starting to really go into that blank mode I spoke of. Hope you are enjoying Paw-Paw's company! Big hugs twinsy!

Thank you all for the well wishes. I went back and read through my full thread yesterday. There are too many BoneSmarties that helped me along this journey to mention.

I started my post-op thread a bit ago. You can find me at...And so, I continue...affectionately sub-titled Gullimac's Adventures in the Dude Den :rotfl:

good name for your recovery thread... let the Dude Den antics begin!

Hi Gullimac, I've read part of your thread and you've been quite the trooper in the wait to get this done. I wish you all the best for tomorrow!!

@gullimac , I had BOTH my hips replaced many years ago. I have had a lot of dental issues lately. I'm thinking of having them all remove and putting in the dentures. But again, the expense may be too much for me. There is a cost for the extractions but the dentures are not too bad. But I do not have dental insurance.

@liucheang My dental insurance only covered around 10% of the cost. So I had a big chunk to pay. You almost have to think of it like buying a car.

I am finally getting to place where I can eat more things, but it depends on the day. I am now at a point where I have to decide if I want to do a few implants to anchor the bottom denture better. That will probably cause me to incur about the same cost I have already paid.

Hopefully they would feel like you had a few teeth that were salvageable, that allows for something to anchor into. If we had more time to resolve things before my first hip, the dentist would have tried to save a few more of my teeth. Unfortunately timing was a big issue.

Good luck.
