I am in health care and an MRI tech told me that after 6 months an MRI could be done on the TKR knee. Google says it can be done after 6 weeks post implant. The metal used in the TKR is not magnetic. (Ferrous)
The image may be distorted but the radiologist has probably seen distortion before.
it might be worth while asking again....?
