By any chance, do either of your hips have any ceramic components?

Hey Bonesmart Friends - 8 years ago today was my first THR and it's still working quite well. It complains at night occasionally if I use a step ladder during the day, but other than that it has exceeded my expectations. Not sure if any of my old buddies are still on this forum but I thought I would drop a note to say hello and give some of the newbies some encouragement about long term results. I appreciate you giving the update. It's funny how people don't understand how you still get tissue pain after years. I can definitely relate as I'm just short of 2 years in and working on a ladder or a day of squatting and kneeling leaves me sore.

I am honored that you think of me when you think of Jetlag. Our hip surgeries have led to multiple visits half way across the country and we've developed a real face to face friendship thru Bonesmart!!

Great update @Jetlag I remember reading your recovery thread. I am thrilled to see you posting here again and with such a positive report. I also remember reading about you and @Z15 meeting..
