LTKR at 5AM on 2/28 Monday

Have to be at the hospital at 5 am ET on Monday morning. Getting a LTKR this go round. I really am looking forward to getting this done as I am sure, like many, I have put it off as long as possible. I understand I will have GA and a nerve block which generally will last approx 10 to 12 hours. Going in so early I hope to be out of the OR in time for breakfast but probably more likely lunch. After all, we have to make sure the important thyings are covered. Don't wan't to miss a meal. I have really learned a lot reading here over the past several weeks and will post on the other side ( Recovery ) as soon as possible. I am hoping that the hospital has wi-fi as I am taking my mini puter wirh me. Good luck to all those waiting.

Jimnc - Good luck to you tomorrow. Be calm and know everything will turn out ok. It sounds like you're first and that's good. I was second at 10:45 even though I had to be there at 7:30, came out of the OR at 12:45 and was in recovery until 2 or 2:30. I hate to miss meals also but with the pain meds didn't really care.

Good luck tomorrow! I follow on Wednesday! My hospital does have WiFi but after my last surgery, it didn't work well. Hoping for better this time and that you get it too=and that it works!
