    THR post hip replacement pain

Welcome home, @Ian C! Hope you get good rest and see improvements based on the new joint immediately! Wow, simultaneous and multiple operations in one room, how charming. [emoji54] Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    THR post hip replacement pain

Wow, that's incredible but they are prepared I suppose for a wide scale emergency with many hurt. Hopefully you were the only patient in there at the time? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

Wow! You have been through so much. The "wresting match" while awake with your lower half numb sounds frankly very scary, but thank goodness it's over! We all know that when it is done right, recovery happens naturally, so may relaxation and pain relief take over and this phase be MUCH easier...

    Revision THR Ashley's journey x 2

That's a good caution, and I am adopting it. Anything to keep me out of trouble! I am finally feeling better and, BIG news, here after two months, I am finally able to sit up at close to 90 degrees. Oh my goodness, there is hope now that I may be able to drive to work soon! I have already...

    THR weezie's recovery thread

@weezie, that's fantastic! Getting back to normal function is everything! Absolutely, water and stool softeners are necessary to keep things "going"! Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    THR Knitquilt’s little bumpy recovery<

Hi Faith, hang in there! I had blood pressure issues and was unable to get up also after surgery. Sorry about the stomach issues - you'll get through this, but it surely sounds difficult. Hugs, Ashley Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

    Revision THR Ashley's journey x 2

Thank you folks, glad to hear that I am not the only one on the "worry diet"! I am nearly six weeks past my revision surgery, and starting to feel pretty good. Often here I find myself turning inwards my operative leg and also foot, which I know is not advised in the early days. When I do...

    THR post hip replacement pain

Hi @Ian C, just read your posts, and what a long road it's been for you. I have all the sympathy and regard for you. I tell people who ask me about or feel sorry about my hip replacement that it's like childbirth. At the end (of the pregnancy) you hurt so much, you can't wait to have the baby...

Hip Arthroscopy Hip Arthroscopy ups and downs

Hi @Alfie888, at almost six weeks after my revision surgery, I have been working from home and I am also feeling it! I can't drive yet and I am envious of you for that. But I will say working is pretty miserable after about four hours. My opposite and 'normal' hip is hurting, like yours, too...

    Revision THR Ashley's journey x 2

@Mojo333 — thank you and good idea, I will actually look at some high calorie things that are a little bit better for me than cake and cookies! I don't know about the drinks either... Maybe some energy bars. They are pretty high in calories. I feared that I would gain weight if I were taking...
