10 months post op left knee, right to be done next month. I remember the iovera being almost unbelievable painful, grabbing the guard rails pain! But I can’t remember if it helped or not. Can’t decide to do it or not.
I watched the video, that’s how I’ve been getting up. I think we kind of figure out what works best for us. That’s so exciting to have a farm and tons of work also. My sister has a massive fruit and vegetable farm and stand. My granny has a cherry farm. And my dad came from an 11 kid family...
I am using hard knee pads. Work the garden every day. Even just weeding to be out there.
I started using my 3 person outside swing and using it to push my knee farther. After 3 days of doing it twice a day I went for a real bike ride and it was great!! Only a bit tight, not like before. I...
I love the stairs and now can swim it’s warm in Ct. I did my exercises religiously. 90 minutes twice a day after I left PT. I felt they weren’t helping and moved to living life with stretching and sliders when I sit down and watch tv at night. You are on the mark with the water exercises...
I can’t get up from the ground on the new knee yet. No way can I have the other one done if I can’t. I garden all the time. Running out of time. 7 months soon
You are so right about PT needing a better number. The micro tears I think may be happening. Stretch and hold. The pain of such tightness from holding into another position is awful. I do have a stationary and a regular bike. Right now I’m swimming.
A friend of mine broke her patella 2 months ago. Not a replacement, but.. she was in agony. She went to PT, and she had some type of contraption on her knee for weeks. PT was every day at home for 2 weeks then every other day at the place for 2 months. Now she goes 2 times a week. It was a...
I had the same thing. Turned out it was the way I was walking. That all changed after the surgery. The opposite side is very bad, need that one done also. But the way you walk changes and puts a lot of pressure in the ankle and other knee, even the back. I have to pay attention to the way I...
That right band I feel it. Especially going from one position to another after being in that position for a while. Good luck on your back surgery. I’ve had 5 lumbar fusions and that surgery was a breeze compared to the knee.
It seems as if I should be doing more in the way of stretches and I should be farther along. At the one year mark, I’m supposed to get the other knee done. But I can’t even get up off the ground using the new knee yet. Everything I do I am aware of using the new knee as normal as possible...
What are people doing for flexion at 6 months? I lay down and bend both knees, the new knee is about half a foot higher. If I grab the back of the thigh I can pull it in father. I am
Swimming everyday and working it once a day with this flexion and doing stairs. Just seems stuck like cement.
For hours I go through and click everything in my account, yet still can’t find how to add to my own thread.. someone tell me in easy speak how to do that…please
I was doing 20 minutes on an old stationary bike. The real bike feels better. But that clicking above the knee is hard.. I have to push down on that spot and it stops after a while. I can’t walk due to the other knee being so bad, I end up walking like a broken tin man.
I was doing 20 minutes on an old antique stationary bike in the garage. The real bike is easier than the stationary.. but I feel my muscles get a better stretch with the bike. Walking isn’t going well, due to the other knee being a mess.. I walk too funky and that knee hurts. So biking is...
