Hi
How is everyone doing.

I am doing fine apart from having a infection in the wound where they cut the vein and I am on a course of antibiotics. The nurse is coming today to wash out the wound with irriclens (does this sting) and to change the dressing.

Please add me to the list
LTHR 17 MAY 2018
Thanks

Greetings,
This site has been a great help. Hope all May hippies are progressing well.

If you have not already started your own recovery thread, what are you waiting for----there’s no time like the present. We want to share your journey with you so please start a thread of your own in the proper forum.

To start a new thread, hover your mouse over "Hip" on the blue line at the top of the page for the drop down menu. Click on the "Recovery" forum. On the upper right hand side under the "Joint Replacement Awareness Day" banner, you will see a black rectangle with the words "Post New Thread" in white. Click on this, enter whatever title you want for your thread, but do try to keep it short and sweet, then tab down to the dialogue box and start typing your post which can be as long as you need for it to be.

By starting your own thread, you and your questions and concerns will receive the attention they deserve.

I think I've hit a wall. I'm completely exhausted and in pain. Any pointers would be appreciated!

My OS gave an interesting advise at my 4-wk post op appointment. I am rewording: "try not to approach recovery in athletic way but rather try to follow tai-chi style in this endeavor." I was never involved in tai chi except two instances. My Chinese colleague explained to me meaning of "chi" once. Also, for last several years I've been walking from subway station to work through Chinatown, specifically, through main park. Over years, I saw all different types and styles of tai chi in the mornings in that park. Eventually, I was kind of intrigued just by watching it but never tried doing it myself. May be this is my chance now. The OS was talking, of course, not about gymnastics itself but the overall approach which is kind of slow, harmonized and beautiful.
