Very Slow

HI everyone, in case you're not familiar, "IE" stands for Internet Explorer -- the issue with slow pages appears to only be happening for people who use the IE browser. While we're working on another solution I recommend using one of these other (better) browsers. In case you don't already have them, I've included links which you can click to download them:

Thanks, Jeremy!!! Great advice!

if I switch I am afraid I will lose everything that is set up for my work also cant do that. Is it IE or your site? Cant they know about this?

Hi @barbranna, we hope to have a fix for IE soon. Meanwhile it's OK (and very common) to use 2 different browsers at the same time if you must use IE for work. You can open IE for work and open another browser like Chrome for other sites - and have them both open at the same time.

Again, this isn't a permanent issue, so thank you for your patience. I hope you're willing to try to use two browsers and stick around in the short while until we fix this. Thank you!

this appears fixed for me now on internet explorer.

can anyone please verify if its faster for them?:)

I think it is!! what was wrong can you tell me because now it seems facebook is lagging lol. Is it something I can fix?

@barbaranna Problems like this would not be something you could fix. It's very complex and usually involves deep coding, so it's not really something Rich can explain to you. Sorry.

As for your Facebook issue, have you tried clearing your cache and cookies? Also, do you have a lot of icons on your startup screen? Sometimes those things can slow down applications.

I look forward to reporting if it's fixed, except for the fact that it's been an intermittent problem for me and I never use IE. (Firefox).
Any road up, I'll keep a watch on it as well.

I have gotten to the point where I leave the computer on and go watch a video for a while or do something around the house and let the site 'do it's thing' and come back later. But of course nights when the neighbors dogs keep me up, the site works pretty decent at 2:14 in the morning... :chillpill:
