Hey who is patient as i say I don't have ants in my pants I have a colony of them

Me errrr hip is fine but my nerve down leg was damaged in the procedure so calf muscle and areas of foot are numb. I also contracted Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in foot so its a tad uphill. Hopefully it will settle down so I can get other hip done. As they say life goes on.
Each hip is different so yours might surprise you, in a good way that is. Keep smiling

Not naturally a patient person

A common problem - especially with hip number 2. I was just ranting about wanting to get on with life post RTHR. Doesn't do much good I can tell you. Recovery happens - you just can't push it.

Great news about your employer. The stress of an uncooperative employer can really get you down during recovery. Unfortunately my employer was a total pain through my entire time off work. Glad you don't have that to deal with!

2 weeks 3 days into recovery and doing well methinks Swelling and bruising have reduced significantly, staples have been removed, wound looks neat, getting around with good quality walk with two stick and pottering at home with just the one. Appetite returning now probably due to cessation of codeine which doesn't do much for the tum putting it mildly. Physio returning tomorrow for visit #2 - she should be impressed with my progress as at 5 days post op I was pretty useless. Have taken it slowly this time - if it hurts - don't push it - and now I can do all the prescribed exercises without strain Bonesmart mantras rule ! Hope all other newbies getting on OK x

Thanks @Jaycey - I'm sure it is because I can manage my own expectations better this (2nd) time around instead of fretting about how slowly I'm recovering [emoji2] It takes time and there's nothing to be gained from trying to rush it
