THR Thr 12 june

Day 8: down to 1 crutch around the house and garden now, can walk with proper heel to toe with slight assistance from the crutch. Cutting out the tramadol and sticking with paracetamol from now on. Still get pain when I first stand up and takes a couple of limping steps before I can walk properly. Still icing all night and a couple of times through the day. Had no swelling to speak of so all in all quite good let's hope it continues lol

You're really off to a great start!

Happy One Month Anniversary!
We haven’t heard from you in a bit. I hope all is still going well and you’re enjoying steady progress.
Enjoy the weekend!

@Layla hi everything has been much better than I expected. I ditched crutches and cane after 2 weeks with no limp to speak of except when I overdo it. I started driving at the same time with no problems. Still taking ibruprophen when needed but not as often which is good and can even put on shoes and socks which I definitely didn't expect!! I have my post op consultant meeting tomorrow and I hope to find out when I can get righty done lol so all in all it has been really good.

I havent posted because i didnt want to rub my unexpectly good recovery in the faces of people who arent having such a good recovery didnt seem fair !!!
.

Kentpete,
Happy you are recovering at an amazing pace, & never feel like you can't share that here with the rest of us!
Congrats on your speedy recovery but please don't overdo either.

Wonderful news!
Please don’t hesitate to update us with great progress. I looked for updates such as yours when my anxiety ramped up as I was getting closer to surgery. Positive updates are inspirational, encouraged and appreciated, so thank you!
Best wishes for your meeting with the Consultant today, I’m sure he will be impressed with your progress.
Happy Saturday! Enjoy the rest of the weekend. :)

I agree with Layla, @Kentpete! We want and need posts about good recoveries! It is helpful to people who are early days or are still making the decision to proceed to see that you can have a good outcome!

Happy Two Month Anniversary!
Another month has passed...how are you doing?
Hope you're enjoying the Summer and feeling stronger with each passing month.
A great week to you! :)
