Hello @Carolinagirl54
Stopping by to say Hi and see how you’re doing? I hope things are looking brighter for you these days and you received some good news at your last appointment with the OS. We’re here for you. Have a great second half of the week. :)

Hello all, just checking in. Just as you all said, one day you wake up and you're better! Virtually NO pain in operated hip now, however, the other hip is almost as bad now. We knew both would probably have to be done as both were bone on bone, and I did the worst one first. I don't intend to let this one get so bad..makes for worse recovery. Still on Doxy a few more weeks to be sure all infection is gone, and planning an injection in that non-operated hip asap..try to get to Spring before having another surgery! My non-operated on leg now appears shorter, which may be causing some of my pain..any suggestions?

Hi @Carolinagirl54
So sorry lefty is being a brat.
:nah:
Once that hip gets squared away, it's possible the leg length difference you feel you may be experiencing will also get squared away.:fingersx:

Even though I had them both done at the same time, one leg/hip was a little more difficult in recovery and tight hip flexor on that side led to a slight LLD.

I found this particular stretch done in the morning was very helpful.

Lie down along the edge of your bed, letting the leg closest to the side hang off. Pull the other knee into your chest and let gravity Gently lower the leg off the bed.
Gently bend the knee to increase the stretch across the thigh and front of the hip.
Hold for 20 to 30 seconds or however long is comfortable...less time at the beginning so you don't strain anything.

Hello...Happy New Year!
Hopefully you enjoyed the holidays and your non op hip isn’t cramping your style too much. As you just passed, Righty’s, four month anniversary, I wish you all good news from here on out. Keep us posted and let us know the date of your Left THR once it’s scheduled. We’d like to follow your journey.
Have a great week!
