All our cats (including the current 2) always used outdoors. Mr ZF was litter patrol starting about 7 years in, and only had to change the single box (usually 3 cats) once a month. We moved in 2007 and kept them in for several weeks, and All Three of them naturally used the (4) litter boxes. And never stopped. We moved again, 2014. Same deal. 4 boxes, changing all 4 at least weekly. One cat died. Didn't dare take away one box. Moved again 2020. Didn't have to keep cats in because we were able to screen off the large back yard. They're 16, so are not even going to try to jump the fences. 4 litter boxes, changed weekly...... This is a task I suffer through lol. In the winter my fingers turn white, in the summer I get eaten by mosquitoes....
