TKR Sissy46 Recovery Adventure

@Layla
Thank you for remembering me! Yes, I am living life to the fullest and very grateful for my new knee. Riding my bike, walking briskly without limp or pain, and I can almost sit on my heels, which is something useful to do if I need to give my cat a pill.
It's amazing to me that I can hop in and out of my solo canoe without giving my knee a thought.
I'm enjoying my volunteer work to the max, and it's great to be able to get down on the ground with the snakes and get back up again without pain.
All the credit goes to my excellent surgeon, Jeffrey Petrie M.D. and the Stryker/Mako robotic assist, quad-sparing, tourniquet-less surgery.

That's amazing! Congratulations.
We share a surgery date and my squatting is good but can't get that far yet.

Thanks for sharing the update, sissy!
You certainly are doing very well. What an encouragement to those following behind you. At four months post op I believe it will get even better over the coming months. Take care and enjoy!
@sissy46

Five months post-op follow up visit yesterday, and Dr. Petrie said I'm doing great and he wants to see me in a year.
I still can't sit on my heels but I think I will be able to eventually. In the meantime, baby cat Grayson and I will just have to figure out something else if he needs a pill.
