Pso (loved the play on words
@Mojo333 ), in addition to not being able to spell (I blame autocorrect for changing pilates to pirates,
@Bone-obo , although both could be interesting

), have I ever mentioned that I an a KLUTZ?!? Last Monday, I was walking through the house as I sorted the mail. I then tripped over the box that I'd put in the floor for the cat, landed my foot in the box and the box slid backwards on the carpet - all causing me to hyperextend the hip and make the psoas even more ouchy! Those of you who've been along for the journey know how much I hate using assistive devices, so it will tell you how much it hurt that I used the cane M-Th until the second injection. I also stopped all non-essential movement during that time and kept my feet up alternating heat and cold. It was feeling better by Thursday but still not back where it was before my swan dive.
Pso, I was a bit disappointed with the injection. It didn't seem to help as much as the first one. Apparently, though, it was just still trying to heal the injury. It's been a bit better each day and is close to where I was after the first injection. I put off PT until today because I didn't think I'd get much benefit from it on Friday. Today we were able to start back where we'd left off before the last injection stopped working and added a few more assisted stretches and manipulations that don't seem to be causing any issues or problems. One thing I'll miss when I stop seeing this PT - he gives the best back massages!
@Layla , I did manage to slip (maybe not the best word choice

) in a bit of dancing Saturday evening, though, following my "seated only" upper body work out with the trainer Saturday (if nothing else, my upper body is benefiting from the psoas issues). I'm still not where I was a few months ago and only time will tell whether this injection will last longer than the first, but I'm definitely in a better place than I was a month ago. Hopefully things will continue to improve and won't go back. The other thing I'm really going to need to work on is my weight. I've gained 10 pounds in the last month - cortisone injections play havoc with a diabetic's blood sugar. We've increased the dosage of my meds but it's still having an impact.
That's all the news that's fit to print (and some that probably isn't) at this point. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
