Leaving for the hospital in a couple of hours. Hungry, thirsty and a little apprehensive, is it too late to back out? Just kidding about backing out. Hope to look back on this day as the day I began to get my life and my freedom back. Looking forward to walks on the beach, hikes in the mountains, and enjoying the rest of my retirement. See you on the other side.

See you on your return larry, thoughts are with you all the way xxx

Our best to you---thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery! Please post when you feel up to it and let us know how things are going and how things went during surgery.

Setting here waiting to go home today. Surgery went well and pain has been controlled very well. When I first came out of operating room, I was wishing they would just shoot me, but it got much better rather quickly. Little unhappy with nursing staff,but what can you do. Anyway I am happy to have this part over and hope rehab goes as well.

Good news, Larry. When you get home, start a thread in the recovery forum. Your rehab will go great if you follow the BoneSmart manta: take pain meds on a schedule;

get lots of rest;

elevate and ice, ice, ice;

and keep exercise and PT gentle and easy the first 3 weeks. Gotta give that knee time to heal. See you on the "other side".

Larry, glad you got through surgery and are going home. I do hope that your recovery goes well. Remember to rest, ice, elevate and take your meds on time. Hang in there!!!

Welcome to the other side Larry, you truly are a bonesmartie now !!
Remember you must take it easy and that your knee is in charge now, its a stern master (mistress ?) and you have to do its bidding.:rolleyes: That will include lots of rest, sleeping when and if you can....lots of icing and elevating and lots of reading or TV. Take your pain relief regularly and keep the niggles at bay.
Everything will be fine from now on, its all about healing and recovery.
Keep us all posted in a new thread and we are right behind you all the way.
Best of luck,
Viv xx

Hope all went well for you on Wednesday. Let us know how it all came out. I have about 36 hours left, looking forward to being where you are right now. Best of luck!

Welcome to the recovery side, Larry....I'll be looking for your recovery thread when you get home!
