THR RTHR at 56 due Avascular Necrosis

@Psikey All a bit unnerving I am sure. Did you let your surgeon know about the larger lump and this drainage. Fingers crossed you are right about it being Seroma.
Yes, I showed him lump at week 6 follow up but he just said normal & body would re-absorb over time. It is obviously that big and pressured it forced itself out through the skin.

Oh my gosh, that must have been quite unsettling for you especially as it happened when you were out and about. How are things now ?

Doc seams happier with it, told to leave uncovered now if stopped leaking (think it has), finish ABiotics and see him again next Wednesday.

Nothing bad showed up in bloods (no infection).

Seem to be doing well now that Seroma lump has gone and stitches now look normal again and closed up.

Plenty of walks and cycled about 40 mile this week. Joint/pelvis can be a bit achey after a good session but nothing that a nice hot bath doesn't relieve. 95% of time no hint of a limp but do get a bit of lower back pain, RHS near coccyx.

Back to sleeping normal again too.

Great news! Still many months to notice improvement with the aches and limp.

When you catch yourself limping, here’s a tip -
Try heel-toe walking when you're limping.
This involves striking the ground with your heel first, then rolling through your heel to your toe, and pushing out of the step with your toe. It takes a concentrated effort, but I believe you'll notice a difference. Give it a try.
