I know that I have more scar tissue in my knee as when I do bend it I can feel real restriction. Could be worse and I'm grateful for what I do have. Something I can live with for sure.

@scooterdiva,

I'm glad that you have come to the place to where you can live with the scar tissue. Let me let you in on a little secret. When you are further along, the scar tissue "might" loosen up with more time. My scar had adhered to the muscle, and it took 2 1/2 years and working w Abby my personal trainer, to feel it pull away one day! So, as Mary says, we are the marathoners! Never give up, knees continue to amaze even years later!:happydance:

I rarely even think about my knees anymore unless someone asks me about them! :heehee:

@RestAssured, thanks for the comments. I agree with you. I think that my knee will be totally different in a few months. And there isn't anything I haven't been able to do. And I was happy I could hold up my bike with no problems this spring.
By the way, you look great in your picture!!

Awwww... Thanks @scooterdiva!

I have been blessed w a wonderful personal trainer named Abby, who is as stubborn as I am! I have had a few days where I have felt like stopping, but Abby reminds me that quitting is NOT an option! We understand each other very well; her Mom is my age! LOL:rotfl:

@Mimi2u How are you doing? Have you been able to ride this summer? I've ridden quite a bit. Has been great to be able to hold my bike up with no problems. Hope this finds you well.

One year anniversary of RTKR today. Been a very eventful year to say the least. Onward..

Congratulations on your first year!!! It's a milestone for sure! Hope you celebrated big time.

Has anyone had any issues with weight loss after TKR? I've lost quite a bit since the replacement. By quite a bit I mean 65 pounds. I did have to get my gall bladder out in Oct. 2014 and feel better, but am not sure that was causing that much of a weight loss. Still haven't put any back on, in fact have lost a bit more. Appetite is better than after the replacement.

Most of us struggle with weight loss even after TKR.
Unexplained weight loss should be looked into, let your primary physician know so they can figure out why you are losing weight.
How is your TKR doing after your MUA?

I still get a lot of pain in the joint. The ROM is pretty good. About 110. Can live with that. I'm thinking that the pain I'm still getting may be related to scar tissue, but don't know for sure. The discomfort I have now is more than before in some ways, but better than before tkr I other ways.

I would check in with your primary doc about the weight loss.

I have lost weight, but it has been a conscious effort. Check with your GP to rule out anything that may cause unexplained weight loss.
