TKR R TKR May 6

Hi. I have a 7 month post op update. My knee is ok, some swelling if it is a long day of not elevating, some tightness. I am still doing the PT exercises to keep it flexible.

I had both ovaries and fallopian tubes removed via a laparoscopic surgery a couple of weeks ago; I had gone to the ER for a possible UTI. It was a very painful UTI, the ER doc ordered a CT scan and an ultrasound when I told them the pain was lower pelvic and around my back as well. So those tests showed a bunch of cysts on the ovaries. So they were removed, and tested as benign. So thankful for the ER visit!

I'm seeing a pain management doctor for the lower back stuff. I guess this is a forever thing. I'm hoping to discuss acupuncture at my January appointment.

Thanks so much Bonesmart,
Shelly

Hi Wanderer, It's good to read that your knee is okay. Continue elevating as time allows for the swelling.
I wish you the best as you recover from your laparoscopic surgery and hope the pain management physician is able to help with the back pain. Thanks for the update!
Wishing you a happy holiday season and a peaceful, healthy new year! :xmas-wave-smiley-emoticon:
