Sometimes it's easier to work with your PCP for pain control. Your PCP knows you, and more accessible.
I didn't go specifically for non-opioid recovery. I prefer oxycodone when I have significant pain. I've only needed a half an oxycodone a day, at most. I've used 7 total (that's 14 doses) in a month's time, almost always at night. I have loved being clear-headed. My routine has been 1,000 acetaminophen twice a day, and 2 Aleve twice a day, which has worked well. But the ice machine is the best pain relief. I have it on an hour or more at a time.
