I have learned so much. Wish they had just given me this web site and a couple extra dressings change kits! Today is five weeks and I think (hope) aches and pains will level off. I'm guessing it is normal for everything to be uncomfortable, back, other leg and hip.
Have very little energy and NO patience left, with the people around. "You look like you are completely well, must have been easy for you..." Today I couldn't resist...an acquaintance of mine who generally lives in continuous drama-land, Started bombarding me with how easy it must have been. I spent 10 minutes describing the surgery and manipulation of my leg during...she turned sort of grey when I got to the part of inserting and pounding in the stem!! Most fun I have had in a month--or at least 5 weeks.
This really is the hardest experience physically and emotionally....I would say it even tops the gold standard of "having babies" ( had three so I can be a judge)
