THR New here, hoping for support

Thanks to everyone for your responses. You’ve set my mind at ease with this decision that I’ve been struggling with. It was only when I inundated myself with far too many Google searches and listened to far too many misinformed well-meaning people that I became unsure. The surgeon I’ve chosen who only uses the lateral approach is well-experienced and was quick to tell me his practice is limited to hip and knee replacements.
Your comments and wise advice confirmed the conclusion I’d reached - that the end result is what is most important. It’s a relief to take this one worry off of my plate of worries. I want my quality of life back.
My gratitude to all …

So glad we've been able to help set your mind at ease. Believe me, we understand that anxiety, because we've all been down that road at some point in the decision-making journey.

Let us know the date when you schedule to surgery so we can create a signature for you. Meanwhile, we are here to help.

Of course! One less thing to trouble yourself with. Don't hesitate to run any worries or concerns by us. We're here to share what we've learned. I found the camaraderie especially important during recovery when things can feel uncertain at times. It was nice to hear from others who understood the ups and downs and learn some of the ways others coped with any number of things related to recovery. You're never alone here!
Have a great day!

@avalon54 I'm just dropping by to say hi and to let you know we're always here for you. As you wait for the pieces to fall into place, just remember we've been where you are. The wait can be interminable when you're in pain and you can feel pretty lonely in that, too. I wished I had had BoneSmart back then when I was suffering so but still had to slog it out at work and with daily activities to get to my surgery date. Well, you're not alone and it will be a happy day when you get to the healing side. Hang in there. Anxiously awaiting your appointment and surgery date. :console2:
