THR My recovery

Hi again everyone!
It’s now almost 9 months since my THR. Life continues to be good and I’m looking forward to getting back in the swimming pool very soon.
The new hip continues to do well. It feels the same as a normal one, but I always take care not to bend and twist at the same time. There goes my trademark dance move...

@longtimechemist :wave:
So happy to see your update and find you doing well.. .
I saw lots of improvements well over the one year mark but getting rid of that bone crunching OA pain was worth all the recovery niggles!:happydance:

Stay well, friend!

Hi again - It must be another month!
It's now near enough 10 months since my RTHR, and things continue to improve. The fairly low-level pain I was having when lifting my leg whilst sitting has begun to decrease. I figure that since it took two or three years to get as bad as it was, it was going to take a while to recover - and that is what's happening. Good news!
For those awaiting THR and looking for thoughts from 'the other side', take heart - this operation has given me back my life.

Hi, my hippy pal.
Glad to hear things are still improving and I agree with you that THR also have me my life back.
Recovery definitely had its ups and downs, but well worth it.
Stay Safe and Be Happy!:) :-) (:

@longtimechemist Thanks for checking in! I hope your post encourages those who are concerned about how they are progressing in recovery. Even at 10 months improvements continue! Well done!

Great update. I totally agree with getting life back after replacement as well. So much more fun without the pain. Have a wonderful day.
