Re: ...and so the saga goes

Absolutely! Whatever it is - and specially if it is dislocated - waiting will only make it much more difficult to reduce.
It should be dealt with ASAP.

Re: ...and so the saga goes

Oh Jackie! Please go to the ER! You are only postponing the inevitable. If something has dislocated, you need to get it fixed...quickly!

I am so sorry you are having more problems. It is just not fair. Please let us know what is going on. We really do care. (((HUGS)) :console:

Re: ...and so the saga goes

Hi Jackie....so sorry this is happening to you....I kind of know the fear part...as I too woke up in excrutiating pain....but mine I think was my sacroilliac joint.....and the pain has subsided.

Please do go to your ER and have it checked out and get the relief you deserve.

Re: ...and so the saga goes

Jackie - I echo all of the above. Whatever is going on please get it seen to ASAP.

We are with you my friend!

Re: ...and so the saga goes

Hmmm...I'm hoping that not hearing back from you means that you have gone for help. Please keep us informed Jackie. I will continue to keep you in my prayers :prayer1::prayer1::prayer1:. XOX J.

Re: ...and so the saga goes

Me too, Janet. It's a big worry, this kind of thing.

Re: ...and so the saga goes

Jackie, if you are reading this, I am thinking of you and hope you are ok. Please let us know how you are doing. I am praying for some good news...:friends:..:prayer1::prayer1::prayer1:

This is coming a few days later than I had hoped to be on here much sooner. I saw my family doctor and he sent me into my surgeon and the decisions came. First off though,my surgeon did not think I had dislocated anything. He thinks maybe it is my back, I have a curved spine and arthritis in my spine so who knows eh? I must also admit that ever since this agony started, about 10 days now, the pain is subsiding a little with each passing day. If the pain does not ease off considerably I am to see him in 3 weeks for more xrays.

As of yesterday he and I talked about my wonderful 3 choices I was given. I chose the very last one, suppression using anti-biotics forever I spose, maybe not, another one of my forgotten questions. He did not seem to be any happier then I am at the prospect of surgery, so we will try this way. The drainage has nearly stopped but the pain is just horrid.

I am praying this works, and works fast, I am just so tired from everything, I am sick of worrying about me too. There has to be a better way to live life.

As usual thanks for listening. I guess that is enough for now, I am tired ...hope you all have a great weekend...Jackie

Jackie, I merged your last four threads together to get some continuity. It helps everyone if we can read back and see what's gone before.

What were the other two options?

Gee Jackie, I'm so sorry this is still on going. I'm confused though as didn't you say you could feel something moving around in there? I don't see how this could be your back, but I'm no doctor.

Well, I'm glad you came back with an update. Please keep us posted. I continue to pray for a complete recovery for you :prayer1::prayer1::prayer1:

Hi again

The three options were:

1. do nothing

2. have my hip removed again and spacers put in then back 3-4 months later to have spacers out and a new hip added. Of course they would and could not guarantee it would work.

3. treat with anti-biotics for maybe a long period. I chose this one, I do not think I can handle yet more surgeries. This seems to me to be my best option since the surgeon did not really think surgery would help but that it could cause me much more grief then it is worth.

So thats what is happenning, I started anti-biotics again yesterday, the home care told me they thought it was infected as did my surgeon. So all I can do right now is keep praying this works and someday it will all be a forgotten nightmare...Jackie

I hope the antibiotics work for you, Jackie. Good luck and do keep us posted! I know this has all been a horrible trial for you. :console:

I agree with you, Jackie, that this is worth a try. You can always come back to the surgical option later if you want or need to. Please let us know how you're doing. You're in my prayers, hon....
