I hear'ya, Coachie! That "deep" pain is a bit hard to explain. I have that also, and I describe it as a severe "ache" that won't go away and makes my leg feel "heavy". Sound similar? ....I put a call into Dr. Kelly today. I spoke with Kate about the amitriptolyn (sp?) and just how much Dr. K wants me to be on for milligrams. I'm on 25mg per day now. Doesn't seem to be doing much, except for sleeping. I'm out like a light! A few people have said they think I'm "hyper"...talking quickly and jumping from subject to subject without finishing the first. I've read all the "side effects" of the drug, but no heart palpitations or heart racing. I had that with another drug I was on, so I think I'd recognize it. Has anybody else been Kate will find out for me and call me back in the morning.
I kinda over-did it yesterday. Hubby was away on a business trip, and my Mom and I completely cleaned out and re-decorated his home office. Wore my cast (I've decided to interject some humor, so I've named my cast "Peg"...get it? ha ha ha ha ha) the entire day and by 6pm my knee really was hurting, so I took "Peg" off. Yeeeeooowwwww!!!! Without that compression, DOUBLE the pain. Deep pain, stabbing pain and lots of tingling. GREAT. Gotta love RSD....then came that lovely color change. Yuck. So.....yes, I overdid it and I paid for it today by doing absolutely NOTHING but sit in the recliner with my leg up all day. That's the price I pay when I want to "be normal" and do things like everybody else. But...like "Scarlett" says..."tomorrow is another day"! :wink1:....and another day close to that "one year marker", right Coachie? Hang in there!!!!!!
