In training for TKR 15th December 2014

I received an email yesterday morning from the Pre assessment nurse after I emailed her my concerns on Saturday, I also attached the information sent to me by Josephine. She just said that she had passed my email on to the surgeon and that he would make the final decision on whether my surgery would go ahead or not. She said he was in surgery Monday and Tuesday and I may not hear until Wednesday. So just had to accept that and continue worrying. At 1pm yesterday I received a call from the Hospital and to my shock it was my surgeon, he told me that he would be going ahead with the surgery on the 15th December, told me not to worry and if there was any issue with my gums they would give me an antibiotic, but nothing at all to worry about. First of all I was in complete shock that he rang me directly and then I just felt like crying with the good news of the surgery going ahead. I had so much confidence in this surgeon from the first moment I met him, and that phone call from him really nailed that feeling from me, I know I am in good hands. He could of got his secretary or pre assessment nurse to ring, but he did it himself and re-assured me. I AM SO SO HAPPY! Thank you so much "JOSEPHINE" Holly

That is absolutely great news!!! It is a go!!!
