Hey guys!
Day 6 and I will say this is probably the most difficult thing I have ever done. These hip precautions are NO joke!! Yesterday I did a lot of vomiting as my pharmacy had to wait on my stomach coating medication so all the meds weren't so harsh. During one of my puking spells I was in bed and turned my upper half a little to avoid getting any on my pillow and wow the pain. Today I feel it has set me back a bit so I'm working on my Physio with a bit more effort and trying to stay aware of the hip precautions with EVERY movement. Upside nurse gave me an enema today and the belly pain is gone :-) TMI ... I know lol

So proud of you. Now YOU be proud of you. Take those precautions seriously. They are for your good and will certainly help your recovery. Go slowly and you'll be fine!

Glad your tummy feels better! Sorry that you're having a rough time. Hopefully, the stomach coating meds will help. I'll be right behind you on Monday the 16th. Hang in there!

I have been a hipster for a week and a day! Everything is going amazingly well!! I am off all pain meds :-) I went on my first outing yesterday! Me and my mother went to visit my 103 year old great grandmother and after out for lunch. It was so nice to be out and the weather was beautiful! Day by day teaching this hip who's boss!! So far so good! :-)

Hi @Nervicited83
It strange the different approaches we take. You say "Day by day I am teaching this hip who's boss!!" I say the "the recovery is dictated by my hip not me! " But we all end up in the same place, going forward. You have done well, hard to believe those pre op nerves were so recent but now are history! I look forward to hearing more about your speedy recovery.

Hi @copsham

I find when my new friend tries to be "in control" I do more physio to ease the tightness and it helps so much! To say the least I spend way more time on my feet moving because if I rest more then 30 minutes it gets stiff. I let it slide a little more in the night but I set an alarm every 1.5 hours just so I can get up and move otherwise come morning it takes several hours to to get it moving the way I want. She is a stubborn hip but I'm just as stubborn! Lol

Almost eight months for me and I'm rockin' mine! You will be, too! Steady and slowly and deliberate! It's going to be your best summer yet!

Well done @Nervicited83
7 weeks already! You are amazing in your development. It took me about 6-8 weeks before I felt really pleased to have had the op. I now so appreciate being able to be more active. x
