I need to ccomplain to gripe. Is it too much to ask that when the surgeon order's things to be done that they get done? I had to threaten with my PCP doing the orders to get the MRI. Amazing it was ordered within 5 minutes of me complaining. And yet I had a chat with the surgeon about that.
Fast forward and its been two week since he ordered 2 spinal blocks. In two more weeks I go back to surgeon to discuss how the blocks worked. I have half a notion to not call & complain and go to the appointment and say "I told you so, unless you complain things aren't ordered." But I'll be the one waiting again for the blocks to be ordered, and paying a copay to see a surgeon to say nothing has happened. He is very well known and has lots of patients, that I get. But outside scheduling sucks. I like him, I like his PA I just HATE the system.
Do I again threaten that my PCP can get things ordered same day and she'd be glad to order the spinal blocks? Do I do nothing? Certainly don't want a reputation of being a complainer, but I'm just asking them to do their jobs. At least that's how I see it. Am I wrong here? Be honest.
The gabapentin has made a difference. The entire leg is 'looser' if you will. Do I have to use a cane, yes. Do I have limited movement, yes. Does it hurt / uncomfortable, yes. Warmish to touch, yes. Swelling, oh ya. Taking Tylenol on a schedule 4x's per day. Taking tramadol prn at least 1x per day. Think I'm just tired of nothing happening. Tired of still not being able to do things I want to do.
Okay, I feel slightly better now. I'd love love love to go sit in the hot tub but when I do that the knee isn't happy so I immediately strap on the ice machine and any of the oh so relaxing feels of the hot tub are lost. Sign. Now I'm do. Do I exxpect to much from this office? Is it me? If I need but yet again more surgery I'd like it on the books - prior to all of the holiday seasons that are upcoming.
