He said let pain be my guide - if something hurts, don't do it! .

I've heard that all my life. My dad was a radiologist and any time we said to him "when I do this, it hurts", his reply was "then, don't do it". Guess the wisdom still applies!

Hi Margaret, so glad to hear that you are doing so well now. It's always good to hear a good report, and gives me hope for my annual visit to OS end of July. I hope he will be as pleased as yours was. It makes all the pain you went through so worthwhile.
