Correct, on here. It's because for the vast majority of successful outcomes, people just get on with their lives and don't bother to post on here; but people with problems come back for help.

Some successes hang around; see my recovery thread (link from my sig below).
This is an excellent point. Many of the TKR or the BTKR folks have gone through the procedure, done the recovery, asked for and received advice, and then moved on with their lives.

I had my tkr last February and I am so happy with it.
The recovery wasn't half as painful as I had anticipated, though I did get tired easily at first, and it does still feel hot at times. At first I kept trying to bend it, but in time I have lost the limp and gained the bend, just through doing normal activities.
It really is fantastic to be able to walk normally, horse ride, go up and downstairs properly, and not be wanting to sit down at every opportunity! I am back at work with young children, getting up and down all the time.I have a straight leg, not bowed any more, and I can wear nice shoes and sandals again!
It's certainly been worth the discomfort (and I never found it too painful to manage-it never made me cry) of a few weeks.
I need the other knee doing, and I will probably do it in a few months, whilst I am not exactly looking forward to it I won't be as apprehensive next time.
