Hi @Fairydell
I just wanted to pop in and check to see if you found that you were getting any improvement in the strength of your leg.
Hope all is well with you and continued best wishes!:roseshwr:

Hi @Mojo333 I am working really hard to strengthen the muscles in my leg. Thankfully I am no longer in pain, the nerve blockers are doing a really good job. The weather is glorious here today and I plan to be outdoors as much as I can and soak up those healing rays.
Have a lovely weekend my friend

I will have much better one now that I know you are going to be enjoying yours!

What great news! So wonderful to read you're not in pain.
We're all happy for you :yes!: :yay: :happydance:
Hope you're enjoying the day as you planned.

Where have three months gone? I am so pleased to be able to report that I am managing with one crutch around the house and manage a few shuffling steps without crutches. The hip is fine but the nerve damage is still causing problems. Off to see the surgeon for a check up today. I hope you are all continuing to heal.

It has been three months!
Wish you were not still dealing with the nerve issues, but will be anxious to hear what your surgeon has to say.
Hope you do something nice today...go out for a meal while you are out?

Hugs @Fairydell :roseshwr:

Hi @Mojo333 I was warned that it could take six to nine months to heal. It's taken me awhile to get my head around that but now I accept it I am concentrating on getting my leg muscles strong. I am walking better without the crutch but really need it as my knee is prone to giving way without warning. I am going to ask about a smaller leg brace today as the full one really is a nuisance.

Thanks fellow hippies. I had my appointment with the surgeon this afternoon and he was delighted with my progress. He said he would not have expected to see this much progress for at least another three months. I have an appointment for three months time and I do hope to have made even more progress at that point. He did say that a smaller leg brace wouldn't be enough to support my leg. That's a bit if a shame really as it would have given me a lot more freedom of movement.

Sounds like a great appointment, sorry they couldn't get you a smaller bras but hopefully in three months you won't have to worry about it. So glad you're starting to feel better and heal.
