Hi there... glad the Mr Soft walk is helping HipsterSquared! It does attract attention but I think it is good too!
I've just had an amazing weekend! Not only has my physio said I can rid myself of the crutches, I've been ok'ed to drive, I have been very active and, apart from very slight aches and tiredness, I've not suffered! So, 5.5 weeks since major surgery. I am well chuffed!
The only drawback is that it looks like mid-April return to work is definitely on! I am getting quite used to my freedom!
I spoke to my physio about my knees and he said that it will be down to muscle strength (he's given me some exercises to help). Funnily enough, the problems aren't quite so bad now as they were a week ago so it tends to suggest it's just one of the phases I'm going through to recover fully.
I've also been given some tough lower limb strengthening exercises prior to my strengthening classes I have been asked to attend in a few weeks. They are tough but feel good to do - it goes to show how much strength you do lose when you are suffering from dodgy hips...
So it's all good so far. I'm amazed at how quickly things have gone to be honest!
Take care.
