Yeah for an early start!! And completely understand how you are feeling - my friends are awesome but they kept calling all weekend trying to cheer me up and calm me down and I was like,no, seriously - I'm feeling great about this! Even this morning the Doc's and nurses kept asking me if I was anxious or nervous and I honestly replied not at all - they were a bit baffled. My husband was visibly having a rough time though so they tried to cheer him up and that seemed to set things in order.
I hope you have as good a time as I've had so far, I've been incredibly lucky. No PT yet so haven't put weight on it but I have been able to sit on the edge of the bed and my knee is bending pretty well, it's laying flat so extension is got to be reasonable and without even thinking I lifted my own leg easily in recovery - the polar cube was leaking and even though I couldn't feel it the ace was wet and they had to change it - so I just lifted it up. Quads are working!! I know that is far from a given so I truly feel blessed and am sending positive thoughts and juju down under!
I fear that sleep will be my main issue - I haven't slept at all - maybe the Perc's will make me sleepy? I'm not much of a napper so maybe it's just my natural reaction to naps.
Only new tip I have is that if you have long hair a loose french braid is perfect and the Nurses LOVE the chocolates.
You are going to rock this!!!!
