Julie, I am so glad you went to the E.R. I too had a blood clots in my legs and thighs. I was on Lovenox post surgery but still developed them after I finished the shots.(about 4 weeks) I am now on Coumadin. My knee is fine and the blood clots did not hurt my knee recovery. Do not worry about your knee. Wishing you continued recovery.

thank u everyone for input, it really helps. I think there was alot mistakes done. not being put on bloodthinners,my knee being put in traction WRONG, and no, they did not put me in the compressure stockings in the hospital.i I have been in stockings at home,and i do have appointment with my G.P. this week. i wonder if alot of this has anything to do with the fact i had surgery christmas week and the people that had my life in there hands were thinking about christmas? :th_skeptical:

I would sincerely doubt it! At least I hope not! Scary to even think about. I am so sorry you had this happen. Also sorry that I cannot comment on the recovery from a PE as it is outside my area of expertise.
