Hi! I posted quite a bit back then.... total knee replacement... Josephine was one of the moderators who I remember being so helpful. I believe my user name was Lucy155 back then, too. It's my regular call name I use. I'll try and find an old file. I had a different last name back then, if that matters. It was in 2010 Or 2011?

Hi. I'm new here. My surgery is scheduled for Sept. 8, lateral hip surgery. I don't even know what the surgeon is doing, but the doctor and the hospital are very detailed, so I appreciate that. He has a great reputation online and I figure (I hope) he knows what he's doing...I'm almost 79 and the pain is getting worse so naturally I'm hoping to recover well. Wait! I think it's anterior surgery, he said I would be out of the hospital that day...I guess I'll have to call and ask tomorrow. I just can't stand the pain, am not functioning well and hope I can make progress afterwards and go swimming and walk better.

Hello everyone

I’m heading in for a left THR (posterior) on the 17th, just a week before my 51st birthday. Having always been very fit and active (runner, kick-boxer, swimmer…) I am dreading the recovery period, though I am looking forward to being pain-free and moving more normally. Heading for another THR on the left on Sept 27th. Had the right done Dec 2021 (I have hip dysplasia). Superior approach, dual mobility replacement. No worries on my end... I have the best surgeon with the best approach and the best replacement! Was on a horse 9 weeks after my first surgery and then up to 6 horses a day by 14 weeks (and I'm 60 years old). Haven't had any issues at all!!
